Easy to Open, Surprisingly Difficult to Close – Read Before Using

I recently tried the Navi loan app mainly to test the Trezo credit line feature, and my experience was mixed, with some important drawbacks that new users should know.

Opening the credit line was quick and smooth; the approval process took around 15 minutes, which initially felt impressive. However, the usefulness of the credit line turned out to be quite limited. The maximum transaction allowed is only ₹2,000, and the payment works only at merchants that specifically accept credit cards. This significantly reduces where you can actually use it, making it less practical than expected.

The bigger issue came when I decided to close the credit line. Unlike the fast activation, closing it is a lengthy and inconvenient process that takes around 30 days. There is no simple in-app closure option. First, you need to contact customer support through chat, request the closure, receive a form, fill it manually, and send it back offline. Only after that do they begin the closure process. If there is even a small error in the form, you must restart the entire procedure from the beginning, which can be frustrating and time-consuming.

Overall, the onboarding is fast, but the low transaction limit and complicated offline closure process make the Trezo credit line something users should think carefully about before activating.
