Solid Technical Autonomy: Full-Stack AI Integration for Multi-Location Retail

As the Operations Manager for Kuflilicious, I partnered with Granton Advertising for a major multi-location digital infrastructure rollout across eight of our branches (six in the UAE and two in India).
Granton’s engineering team showed technical autonomy, building a highly responsive full-stack architecture utilizing React.js, Node.js, and a robust PostgreSQL database on an pretty aggressive three-month timeline. They went a step further by implementing a strongly typed GraphQL API layer that eliminated data over-fetching at our physical retail terminals and event booths. Additionally, they integrated OpenAI's GPT API and LangChain workflows into an automated WhatsApp customer-intake framework, which streamlined our guest data ingestion end to end.
The project did experience an initial scheduling setback. Balancing the integration between our legacy POS system and their new custom enterprise platform caused early friction and some hesitation from our internal IT department. However, Granton’s project manager handled this challenge excellently. The PM listened closely to everyone's concerns, focused on direct problem-solving, helped forge a cross-team consensus, and cleared the impediments to get our timeline back on track.
Despite that early hurdle, the team handled themselves very well under tight eight-week sprint timelines. The new system has dramatically reduced our administrative overhead and improved data accuracy across all international regions.
